ROOFTOP BRUNCH RESTAURANT
SOLID is a rooftop brunch restaurant, offering a wide selection of special brunch dishes on the 7th floor of Hotel Rum. It is highlighted in the Michelin Guide from 2023.
The sky bar is located in the center of Budapest, and gives an impressive view of the Budapest skyline. Guests can enjoy the weather, dishes and wines under the open sky. During colder days the roof may be closed, although the fireplace still gives you the warm cosy feeling in addition to the ever amazing panoramic view.
SOLID is the sister-restaurant of SALT, the Michelin starred fine dining restaurant, both located at the RUM House. The two venues are closely linked at several points: in ingredients, flavors, food selection, wines and humble attitude towards gastronomy, nature and traditions.
The chef René Rába, has been working closely with the SALT team for a long time. René brought ideas from his childhood memories and grandparents’ recipes complementing the typical fermented flavors of the SALT family. Forbes added René to its annual TOP 30 UNDER 30 list in 2023 in Hungary.

The building features a SOLID Sky Bar – featured in the Michelin Guide, where our hotel guests can enjoy their a’la carte breakfast every morning. SOLID is a ‘rooftop’ brunch restaurant on the 7th floor of Hotel Rum. The place has huge windows all around, that gives an impressive view of the Budapest skyline. During warmer days and nights, the roof can be opened, so guests can enjoy the weather and the dishes under the sun and the sky.
Another member of the RUM family is SALT – a one Michelin and one Green Michelin Star restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. Hungarian roots and flavors are the focal points here: the meat is from a family farm, and herbs and wild plants are hand-picked in the country by the chef himself. SALT is open Wednesday to Saturday from 6 PM to 11 PM for an exciting gastro journey.
